Annual Toy Run Since 2005 we have coordinated a Toy Run to benefit less fortunate children. Until last year, we gave our donated toys to the Toys For Tots. We has since changed that and we give our toys directly to sick and injured children who need them at the Yuma Regional Medical Center (YRMC). These toys help take the kids' minds off of the reasons they are in the hospital. The toys make their time spent seem shorter. BLM has set a certain number of vehicles allowed in a group (20), so participation is limited since we have no funds for acquiring the special permits and insurances required. If you would like to donate a toy (or toys), drop offs are welcome between November 1, thru December 1. We have two (2) drop off points. One is in Yuma and the other is in the Foothills. 1. In Yuma: Liberty Properties 907 S Orange Ave Yuma, AZ 85364 Contact Bill Snyder at: (928) 373-2455
2. In the Foothills: Cavco Homes 11510 S Fortuna Rd Yuma, AZ 85367 Contact Perry Marchant at: (928) 342-1577
Participation on the runs is limited to 15 rigs. Sign ups are on a "First Come. First Served" basis. To attend the run, a toy per vehicle is required. Participants need to donate at least one (1) new, unopened toy. One (1) toy is good for one (1) vehicle. There is no set spending limits. Get what you can afford and remove the price tags.
Annual Kids Run
Every year (around April) we take the Boys And Girls Club Of Yuma out for a run in the desert. The kids are always on their best behavior. If you would like to give a kid(s) a ride in your rig, let us know. Keep your eyes peeled on the calendar for the Kids Run.
Adopt A Family! We are all feeling the economic pinch. The smaller the income, the harder the pinch is going to be. There are hard working moms and dads in our community that are barely making it. Christmas is around the corner, and we want to help at least one family by arranging to deliver a fully cooked and prepared dinner purchased from Fry's Food Stores in Yuma, AZ. The more donations we get, the more families we can help. One dinner feeds 6 - 8 people for $44.99 each. Dinners come with: Dinners come precooked, but cold. Need to be reheated and will take about 2 hours.
